LOUISIANA ELECTRONIC LIEN AND TITLE

The Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles (OMV) implemented the State's Electronic Lien and Title (ELT) System in 2001. On January 1, 2010 Louisiana became the second state to pass legislation requiring mandatory participation in the ELT program. In Louisiana, to participate in the ELT program you must work with a registered tag agent. For more information go to Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles.
